Vision & Missions

The Third APMCHUD was held in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia in June 2010 with the theme ‘Empowering Communities for Sustainable Urbanization’.The major outcome of the conference was the Solo Declaration and the Solo Implementation Plan to Enhance Community Empowerment in Housing and Urban Development.
During the conference, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia announced the establishment of the Regional Center for Community Empowerment on Housing and Urban Development (RC-CEHUD).

Vision of RCCEHUD as a recognizable regional knowledge center for community empowerment on housing and urban development in Asia Pasific region.

Missions of RCCEHUD are:

  1. To enhance networking with stakeholders dealing with community empowerment, including research institutions, universities and non government organizations;
  2. To provide data and information regarding best practices for community empowerment on housing and
    urban development;
  3. To facilitate learning access to innovative practices on community empowerment in housing and urban development for Asia-Pacific countries
  4. To support and collaborate with APMCHUD and UN HABITAT on its activity and implementation for community empowerment on housing and urban development in Asian Pasific region.
